Our MVP Pressure Relief Mattress & Overlay is a high quality, durable, versatile product. It has many unique features aimed at promoting and preserving skin health. It incorporates five of the MVP air-filled, soft rubber bladders to achieve this goal. Each of the five mattress sections can be inflated individually to acquire and maintain the proper pressure required by individual areas of the body to insure skin integrity.
The MVP Pressure Reduction Mattress Overlay fits perfectly on standard hospital beds and twin beds / mattresses. It is 38 inches wide and 80 inches long. The comfortable covering is constructed of the ever popular, synthetic "sheepskin-like" pile on the top and a durable nylon-reinforced bottom. The MVP air inflated Mattress is fabricated using a unique, inter-cell divider system which adjusts to the mattress inflation and patient movement to further reduce any pressure points.
Each section of the MVP Pressure Reduction Mattress is hand-fabricated from a high-quality calendered rubber sheet. This specialized material has superior tear resistance and a higher stress to strain ratio than other dipped rubber substitutes. The use of the calendered sheet allows for our unique MVP “pre-taut” fabrication method. This system is effective in that it helps to lower pressure under bony prominences and reduces the risk for developing a decubitus.
